Federal Self-Employed

Self-employed foreigners proficient in arts, cultural activities, and sports can immigrate to Canada through the Federal Self-Employed Program. This is a unique program that encourages diverse growth.

For this kind of permit, a self-employed professional has to have 35 points. Several factors can contribute to the overall points. These include experience, language ability, education, and years of experience. The higher your rank, the stronger your application.

There is also a section for adaptability. For example, if you are an international student who studied in Canada, you score a point for being able to adapt well to Canadian culture. This will rank you higher in the points system.
